Mechanism for checking trainees’ work and preventing cheating and identity theft:

The Reach Skills Training Center has many electronic systems specifically developed for this purpose, working seamlessly.

  1. Activate weekly discussions on assignments and activities with the course trainer to ensure the student understands the material and is the one who submits the work. Weekly tasks primarily include oral discussions and discussion rooms, which are weighted in the course grades. Additionally, each week’s discussions and tasks are closed off after the allocated time has passed and are no longer available to the student.
  2. Examine repetitive term work not based on personal student effort and take necessary action.
  3. Monitor and record student access to the institute’s online learning system and document full attendance at lectures.
  4. Assignments are discussed with the course trainer or a committee to examine the trainee on all aspects, sources, and content to ensure the student’s work is free from any deceit or cheating.

First. Techniques used to prevent cheating:

  1. Trainee commitment and acknowledgment of cheating and identity theft rules and penalties before starting the exam. This is sent to the trainee by the trainer via a link.
  2. Design tests that balance randomness and fairness by drawing questions from pre-prepared question banks that cover learning outcomes and the method of answering them does not depend on memorization and retrieval, but rather on understanding and assimilation.
  3. Ensure each digital test is unique and uses new questions not previously solved or available in books and references.
  4. Prohibit taking photos of questions or communicating with others or using unauthorized resources.
  5. Trainees may be asked to turn on their video camera to verify their identity and may need to present their ID.
  6. Trainees may be asked to pass the camera around the room to ensure there are no other people in the room and no supporting materials, cell phones, or similar items.
  7. A comprehensive awareness campaign for students and training staff about the regulations and penalties for controlling cases of fraud and impersonation.
  8. Use technical solutions such as a browser that prevents opening any other programs on the desktop during the exam and prohibits copying the exam.
  9. Controlling any incidents that violate permissible behaviors is reviewed by the training staff, academic integrity experts, and technology experts to ensure the quality of the evaluation process.
  10. Displaying exam instructions screen to the trainee during the exam including all rules and penalties for cheating and identity theft.

Second. Violations:

  1. Impersonating someone else to take the test on their behalf or arranging for someone else to take the test instead.
  2. Engaging in any behavior that negatively impacts the conduct of the test, whether the intent is to cheat or for any other reason.
  3. Obtaining or attempting to obtain the test before it starts in any way.
  4. Committing any form of cheating.
  5. Failing to follow test instructions or supervisor instructions related to the test process, such as refusing to turn on the candidate’s personal camera or continuing with prohibited behavior after being warned by the test supervisor.

Third. Penalties:

In case of violating any exam rules, the violator may face one or more of the following penalties:

  • Receiving a warning of being barred from taking the exam.
  • Being considered as failing some subjects or the entire exam.
  • Cancellation of the applicant’s results in previous tests.
  • Being barred from taking exams for one or more sessions, up to a maximum of one year.

Fourth. Investigation and enforcement of penalties:

The following procedures are followed for investigating and enforcing penalties on the violator:

  • If the violation involves cheating or issues related to the administration of the exam, the exam supervisor writes an incident report detailing the specifics. The supervisor requests statements from the violator(s) and witnesses to be submitted to the Exam Committee. The report is signed by the exam supervisor and the exam oversight team. The oversight team forwards the report with statements to the head of the Exam Committee within four working days of the violation.
  • The Exam Committee investigates the violation and prepares an investigation report. The investigation committee submits the investigation report and its recommendations to the Exam Committee regarding the extent of the violation and the appropriate penalty.
  • If the violation is confirmed, the Exam Committee forwards its findings and recommendations to the investigation committee along with evidence of the incident.
  • Decisions to impose a penalty shall be issued by the relevant management. If the relevant management’s decision is final, the person against whom the penalty was issued will be notified of the committed violation and the penalty issued against him.
